For You

Choosing support, personal experience and practical arrangements.

What is the difference between therapy, counselling and coaching?

Therapy and counselling provide space to explore distress, experiences, relationships and patterns affecting your wellbeing. Coaching focuses on goals, decisions and change. There can be overlap; the right route depends on what you want to work on and the agreed scope of support. Explore Where to Start for a fuller comparison.

What happens in a complimentary fit conversation?

A 20-minute online conversation helps us discuss what brings you here, whether the support is suitable, practical arrangements and possible next steps. It is not a therapy session, and you do not need to share detailed health information in booking notes.

Can I discuss racism, culture, identity or discrimination?

Yes. Your experiences of culture, identity, discrimination, belonging and relationships can be part of therapeutic exploration. You do not have to separate them from other parts of your life.

How are sessions delivered?

Turncurrent's For You sessions are online. Standard therapy sessions are planned for 50 minutes. The format, frequency and terms of coaching or other support are agreed before paid sessions.

How are fees and confidentiality handled?

The relevant service page explains the available fee guidance. Final terms and payment arrangements are confirmed before engagement. Confidentiality and its professional and safeguarding limits are explained as part of the appropriate onboarding process.

For Organisations

Choosing, preparing and evaluating the right organisational support.

Why doesn't leadership training always change behaviour?

A workshop can create insight and shared language, but lasting change also depends on expectations, incentives, leadership practice and the working conditions people return to. Turncurrent helps examine the wider situation before selecting an intervention and agreeing follow-through.

When should we bring in an external facilitator?

External facilitation may help when a leadership team needs a structured conversation, a neutral process or support navigating difficult issues. The appropriate format depends on the people involved, the desired outcome and the context.

How should we prepare a facilitation or workshop brief?

Start with the situation, participants, what is difficult to discuss, the change you want afterwards and any constraints or existing commitments. Turncurrent can then help scope facilitation, a workshop, leadership support or a combination.

What's the difference between a workshop, facilitation and organisational coaching?

Workshops usually focus on structured learning or practice. Facilitation supports a group through a conversation or process. Organisational coaching supports leadership, decisions and development over time. The right configuration depends on the result you need.

How do we evaluate an intervention?

Agree intended changes before delivery. Depending on the brief, look at understanding, agreed actions, changes in working practice and follow-up. Attendance and satisfaction alone do not establish lasting change.

How are organisational projects scoped and priced?

Start with an initial conversation about your needs, participants, timing and desired outcomes. Turncurrent then proposes a proportionate scope and commercial terms. Organisational services are quoted separately from individual support.
